Plasticizers Organic Intermediate Trimethyl Phosphate CAS 512-56-1 Extraction Agent Pesticide Raw Material
Introduction:
Colorless transparent liquid. Easily soluble in water and ethe, but hardly soluble in ethanol.
Uses:
Epoxy resin additive (to reduce viscosity); anti-coloring agent in polyester fiber processing (to improve dyeing quality); textile oil; used as gasoline additive to prevent knocking, improve octane number, and improve the stability of leaded gasoline during storage; can also be used as a gasoline surface ignition control agent, tetraethyl lead decomposition inhibitor at high temperature; non-corrosive gasoline additive; catalyst for polyester fiber polymerization; modifier for graphite products; plasticizer; extractant; pesticide raw material. Trimethyl phosphate hydrolyzes when it comes into contact with water, so it must be stored in a moisture-proof manner. Due to its hydrolysis, PO43- is released, thus becoming a homogeneous precipitant for the formation of insoluble phosphate precipitation, and is often used as a precipitation reagent for zirconium and hafnium and a diffusion source for the determination of semiconductors. In addition, trimethyl phosphate is also a phospholipid extractant used to extract and separate certain metal ions.
