It is soluble in organic solvents such as chloroform, ethanol, and slightly soluble in water. At 20℃, 1L of water can dissolve 2.2g of dibromohydantoin, and the pH value of 0.1% aqueous solution is 2.6. It is easily decomposed in strong acids or strong alkalis.
